It is never easy to get over a difficult loss, but Team France did their best on Sunday morning by visiting Sydney's famous Taronga Zoo.

It was a typical United Cup bonding moment for the French, led by captain Fabrice Martin, Ugo Humbert, Corentin Moutet, Edouard Roger-Vasselin, Chloe Paquet, Leolia Jeanjean and Elixane Lechemia.

“It’s unbelievable,” Humbert said. “We have a big chance to see them really close. We’ve seen some kangaroos, some giraffes and it was really fun.”

When asked to compare himself to an animal, Humbert named a lion because of his competitive spirit. Paquet, who liked meeting a koala, was thrilled on the trip.

“So happy to be here with all the teammates for Team France,” Paquet said. “It’s an amazing experience to be so close to the animals.”

The French fed giraffes and kangaroos, and they also met a koala. Now they will return to preparation for their Group D tie Tuesday against Italy.
